After almost a year of tests with results that weren’t normal but also weren’t overly troubling, various gastrointestinal symptoms, and finally a prolonged bout with what was thought to be the stomach flu, Scott was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer of the pancreas and liver on August 21, 2008.
